After VBS and construction in the morning, and clearing a little over growth in the afternoon, we finished the day worshipping at the MOH Church. After worship time, the pastor preached (in Creole) from 1 Samuel Ch 1, the story of Hannah. The service ended with a very upbeat, almost Conga-like, song with the Haitians dancing. The joyfully mood was very infectious.
The two boys that Rob and I sponsor (Ricardo and Snyder) were there. They had just finished their graduation exams for this year of school, and had their certificates to show us. They were very proud. So were we. Ricardo's little brother, Kino, and his mother were also at church. As Rob said, it felt like family sitting on the pew together.
